  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business/Human Resources OR equivalent experience required. 3+ years of experience providing HR support in education strongly preferred. 3+ years working closely with business leaders and managers on HR programs and initiatives. Experience recruiting within the field of education. Ability to effectively partner with administrators to understand institutional needs. Strong interpersonal skills; must be able to collaborate and work closely with others. Possess excellent customer service skills. Effective organizational skills with the ability to multi task in a fast-paced environment. Excellent observation and detailing skills that help maintain accuracy and confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Requires a strong work ethic in a mission based environment. PC proficient, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with HRIS and /or payroll systems, including data maintenance and report production. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of state and federal employment laws, such as ADA, Affirmative Action, EEO, FLSA and FMLA. Reports to: Chief Financial Officer Job Goal: The Human Resource Administrator’s primary responsibilities include Employee Relations, Benefits Management, and Managing Compliance with government regulations and agencies. Responsibilities: 1. Coordinate all activities in the Human Resources Department, including benefits administration and eligibility, maintaining employee records, new employee orientation and managing the employee benefits including COBRA help communication 2. Act as liaison between LPS’ benefits broker, the Business Office, and LPS staff 3. Implement, monitor and maintain procedures for human resource activities 4. Work with Administration, prepare and enforce school policies and procedures, including administration of employee handbook 5. Coordinate hiring process and recruiting 6. Maintain employee files to regulatory standards and MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education standards 7. Maintain and monitor compliance with educator’s certifications as required by MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education 8. Conduct exit interviews 9. Manage COBRA to ensure compliance with government regulations 10. Manage employee recognition and wellness programs in concert with the Educational Leadership Team 11. Monitor employee evaluation program to ensure compliance with institutional policies and government regulations 12. Develop and maintain affirmative action program and ensure compliance with EEOC 13. Act as back-up for processing payroll 14. Working with Business Office, ensure that all employee deductions are managed correctly, including health insurance, coordinating with childcare for enrollment, and 403B 15. Process and manage 403B program maintaining accurate records 16. Work with CFO to monitor UFR FTEs as required by MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and Operational Services Division 17. Perform and manage background checks (CORI’s and Fingerprinting) on applicants as required by government regulations Work Year: 12 months
