We are looking for a professional that possesses: Knowledge of wind farm operations, maintenance and construction safety requirements preferred. Experience in task identification, resource management, project tracking, financial tracking and forecasting. Job Summary Responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing the health and safety aspects of the Alliant Energy wind farms for both O&M and Construction activities. Works closely with the Renewable Asset Management leadership team to identify technical objectives, key expertise, training and skill sets needed for the site and project teams, and to ensure requirements are accounted for in the project plan. Job Accountabilities: Monitors and coordinates health and safety programs and activities of the wind farm sites and project teams. Develops new and enhance existing health and safety procedures as necessary. Defines and measures safety performance against wind industry indicators and develop programs focused on continuous safety performance improvement. Reviews contractor and O&M method statements and ensures alignment with corporate and industry standards and health and safety requirements. Participates in meetings with site employees, contractors and subcontractors to ensure health and safety practices and issues are adequately addressed. Actively communicates with corporate safety ensuring alignment and buy-in regarding the nature and importance of the site and project for implementation of safety processes. Prepares, implements and leads health and safety audits and training for the wind farms, and provides safety consulting services to sites. Demonstrates leadership in the area of safety and health. Visits each operational wind farm site on a scheduled basis to assess and assist in the development, maintenance and implementation of the safety services. Conducts investigations and statistical reporting regarding complaints, review of accidents, incidents, injuries and illnesses that have occurred along with the review of resource literature and related standards. May assist in OSHA record keeping activities. Prepares data summaries and related materials, exhibits and reports needed to fulfill obligations to management, other utilities, agencies and regulatory bodies concerning safety issues. All other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Education or experience equivalent to a four year degree from an accredited college or university, with emphasis in safety management or related area. General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA or NEBOSH). A minimum of five years progressively responsible technical and/or professional experience. Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders of the projects and site operations and maintenance. Demonstrated ability to interpret government regulations. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Must possess a valid driver-s license. Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
