VP Commodities Trade Finance

Our client, a top international Banking firm, is seeking a VP level candidate to join their Commodities Trade Finance team based in NYC.

Position Duties:

Overall management responsibility for a Commodities portfolio
- Origination
- Client Relationship Management
- Credit Risk analysis
Coordinate credit application process from origination to approval
Coordinate all documentation
Provide ongoing execution of trade transactions
Coordinate trade letters of credit and funding process
Monitor account/portfolio performance
Ensure compliance with credit and lending policies and procedures

Position Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics or related field
MBA strongly preferred
3-5 years related experience in financial services / banking industry
2+ years experience in Commodities finance with a concentration in:
- Trade Finance
- Credit & Trade Risk analysis
- Letters of Credit
- Account Administration of trade transactions
- Experience covering Latin America preferred
Spanish speaking skills are a plus
Proven experience working in a transactional/deal focused environment
Must have existing business contacts / professional relationships in the Commodities sectors (preferably Latin America based)
Strong communication / interpersonal skills
Ability to attend conference calls and travel internationally occasionally

Base salary to $125K + bonus
