Undergrad Intern - Research Imaging Sciences
Amgen's Research Imaging Sciences department at our Thousand Oaks headquarters is looking for an undergraduate biomedical engineer or computer scientist student with signal and imaging processing experience interested in a 10 - 12 week internship responsible for the following: a. Work with the medical imaging data provided by the scientists for visualization and analysis b. Work with the Research Imaging Sciences and Automation groups to implement/integrate analysis code into a new software platform being developed at Amgen c. Work with the PACS database and semi-automation of analysis techniques d. If completed, perform preliminary testing of GPU accelerated algorithm

Basic Qualifications Must be in the process of earning a Bachelors degree in Biomedical or computer engineering Experience (including class projects) with image or signal processing MatLab, IDL, C/C++, ITK/VTK experiences preferred Must have prior Amgen experience Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria: • Must be 18 years or older • Must be currently enrolled at an accredited four-year college or university as a full time student • Must have completed at least three full years of study at the time the internship begins • Must have not yet graduated • Must be in good academic standing within their majors and overall at their university • Must be enrolled in school the fall season following the potential internship or co-op assignment • Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
