Training Developer and Instructional Designer

This position is responsible for the design and delivery of a variety of training courses, development solutions, and other interventions for DISH Network. Involves creating pro-active and responsive solutions to business needs and seizing opportunities for continuous improvement in individual, team, business unit and organizational performance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
This position will work closely with our front-line managers, HR business partners, and the HR leadership team to ensure we are delivering effective solutions for leadership development, evaluating the effectiveness of those programs, and ensuring we meet the development needs of our front-line and future leaders. This essential individual contributor role reports to the Manager, Leadership and Development in Talent Management.
Specific duties include:
- Preparing and facilitating training courses both live and on-line and/or other interventions for employees
- Working with HR and business leaders to understand their development needs and propose potential solutions
- Acting as a project manager for team initiatives when required
- Designing and developing instructional materials and participant materials, including needs analysis and application of sound instructional design principles
- Familiarity with and consideration of a wide variety of development options that would meet business needs
- Communicating recommendations to various levels of the organizations
- Interfacing effectively with a wide range of internal clients, external partners, and the Learning and Organization Development team
- Monitoring and tracking all courses through the LMS
- Responsible for performing miscellaneous duties and administrative requirements related to training and development
Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of working experience in facilitation, needs analysis, leadership development and experience using the ADDIE model.
