Tool Engineer 2\3
Supports Supplier Management, Material Management commodity teams and work cells with the evaluation of tool requirements in support of Customer orders and quotes. Identifies need for tooling, datasets, tool designs, master layouts, blanket mylars, etc. and develops a technical tooling data package to assist with quoting and procurement activities. Interfaces with Suppliers and Procurement personnel to validate tool availability. Supports all commodities including sheet metal, machining and non-metallics. Provides technical tooling assistance to Procurement personnel. Works under general supervision in a team/work cell environment.

Typical Education/Experience
Level 2 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Level 3 - Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Other Job related information
Must possess a strong background in tooling and parts manufacturing with primary experience in fabrication methods. Must be able to interpret engineering and tooling drawings. Prefer knowledge in both Heritage DAC and Boeing systems and procedures. Strong computing and communication skills are required.
