Overview
The Recruiter works with a team of recruiters across North America that recruit to meet client needs. The recruiter is responsible for meeting individual placement objectives by interviewing, assessing and negotiating offers. The recruiter provides strong strategic support to the business by consulting on the process, compliance and expectation setting. Additionally, the recruiter partners with HR, Compensation, Benefits, and vendors for successfully meeting client talent objectives.
Responsibility Areas
Specific Accountabilities
Consult/advise managers on overall hiring process, collaborate on job requisition details and creation, and advise on effective candidate assessment/interview techniques
Review job descriptions to ensure in proper advertisement format for internet postings and apply to targeted job boards
Identify and assess talented and diverse candidates
Maintain knowledge of the business supported and market demographics
Effectively screen and interview candidates to meet client needs
Effectively negotiate and communicate offer to successful candidates
Build strong relationships with hiring Managers to ensure hiring requirements are met
Responsible for special projects and/or process improvement efforts as needed.
Ensure positive applicant experience through the interview and hiring process
Work with Recruiting Coordinators/Support Services to provide information to them in a timely manner
Consistently provide recruiting updates to the system and to managers as required in a timely manner
Ensure regulatory as well as client specific process compliance
Building strong relationships with client, candidates, peers within the recruiting organization and within partner organizations, and client HR partners
Manage applicant tracking system
Formal Education & Certification:
Recruiter Specialist BS or BA or equivalent work experience
5 plus years of recruitment experience with a focus on technology
Technical recruiting experience highly preferred
Well versed in high-volume recruitment process, working effectively with internal clients.
Knowledge & Experience:
Recruiter Specialist Recruiting knowledge, specifically technical.
Industry knowledge Market trends and implications on acquiring talent
General knowledge of employment law
Technical Skill:
Recruiter Specialist Influence and negotiation skills
Strong relationship building skills and ability to develop strong partnerships with hiring managers, candidates and the community
Intermediate level skill with Microsoft Office suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills
