Technical Director of Unified Communications
Cerium Networks, the leading Unified Communications (UC) provider in the Northwest, has an immediate career opportunity in our Bothell Washington office for an experienced technical leader. The position is responsible to lead and manage dedicated presales technical resources that support a team of Sales Professionals in the Northwest. The position has significant influence on the solution portfolio direction of the company and must communicate effectively and collaborate well with other managers and leaders of the business.
Responsibilities:
Recruit, develop and manage Pre-Sales Solutions Architects.
Establish consistent training and development programs for both the Solution Architects and Sales Professionals
Develop and refine Solution Architects presentation and technical demonstration skills
Manage direct reports by developing and measuring realistic objectives
Build compensation plans that motivate the Solution Architects to grow sales constructs.
Team with the Sales Leadership team to assist in growing solution sales
Develop and refine company processes to assure associate effectiveness, technical design integrity and smooth transitions to project management/implementation teams.
Maintain a high level of unified communications expertise through continuing education, training and manufacturer certifications.
Assure elite customer standards are being met through the Solution Architects technical competency and proactive communications.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated technical leadership and management experience
Specific communications networking industry experience including:
IP Telephony
Contact Center
Messaging
Video – Telepresence
Mobility Applications
Layer 2 & 3 data networking
Data Center
Unified Communications
Highly effective written & oral communications skills
Avaya, Cisco and Microsoft technical experience
Professional standards including strong morals and ethics
