Competencies
General• Adaptability
Tries to understand changes in work-group tasks, situations, and the department as well as the logic or basis for change; occasionally seeks information about changes affecting their individual job. Treats changes and new situations as opportunities for learning or growth; focuses on the beneficial aspects of change; speaks positively about the change to fellow work group members. Dedicates required time and energy to assignments or tasks to ensure that no aspect of the work is neglected; works to overcome obstacles to completing tasks or assignments. Accepts responsibility for outcomes of one's work; admits mistakes and refocuses efforts when appropriate.
Technical• Computer Aided Design Tools
Basic knowledge of computer aided design tools and systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics). Able to manipulate data sets, (e.g., compare CATIA to measurement data, create stereo lithography files).
• Design/Drafting Methods
Basic knowledge of design and drafting methods (e.g., orthographic projection, descriptive geometry, layout, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, coordinate systems, etc.) as applied to manual drafting and/or computer-aided design tools in the creation of drawings and datasets.
• Drawings/Data Sys and Models
Basic knowledge of drawings, data systems and models associated with supported systems/platforms.
