Kelly IT Resources, a premiere international staffing solution provider, is currently looking for a Technical/Customer Support Engineer for a long term contract opportunity located in Oakbrook Terrace.
For this engagement, you will be responsible for supporting new and existing customers on product deployments. Daily Responsibilities: Responding to customer inquiries, tickets and support requests posted via the support channels such as phone, email or web portal. May have to work off hours for providing 24X7 support occasionally. Technical expert at the products you are supporting. Have thorough understanding of how customers have deployed the product. Understand various use models and communicate to customers. Install products in labs with customer configuration for triaging, troubleshooting and testing workarounds and fixes. Providing technical training, guidance, consultation, and hands-on assistance to customers in use of products. Contributing to SW and HW product development by providing tech feedback to product teams Responsible for the technical assistance to customers on products including but not limited to: installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting. Providing ongoing technical and marketing feedback to product management team Developing an advanced understanding of the XML/Web Services market and customer requests for new features/functionality Necessary Skills (Must Have):
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with course work in data communications or comparable field. Knowledge of SOA, web services, BPEL and related standards Extensive knowledge of XML and related technologies, SOAP, WSDL, Web Services, XSD, XSLT, Security, and networking communication protocols. Thorough understanding of data communications concepts and components as well as their utilization in the design and implementation of XML Processing offload solutions Extensive knowledge of Linux, Windows Operating system. Working Knowledge of .Net, Java/J2EE technologies.
Additional Skills Desired (Nice to Have):
Software engineering/Customer Support experience
