Systems Integration Technical Lead / Manager to join our team in Carson, CA.
This individual will support the development of the AOC-WS 10.2 net-centric infrastructure as a training lead and cost account manager. The candidate will manage schedules and scope of AOC training efforts while also providing a lead role as the training design engineer, coordinating activities in Carson, CA, Newport News, VA, and Hurlburt Field, FL. Candidate will report activities to the AOC program manager and leads, provide presentations, and be responsible for contract deliverables.
The Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) Weapon System (WS) is the Joint Forces Air Component Commander's (JFACC) primary Command and Control (C2) node to develop the air and space operations strategies and plans to meet the Combat Commander's objectives. It is the senior element of the Theater Air Control System (TACS) which includes subordinate ground and air C2 units trained and equipped to plan, coordinate, control, execute and monitor air, space and cyberspace operations across the full range of military operations. The AOC controls a wide range of air power to achieve Air Force objectives of Global Vigilance, Global Reach and Global Power.
Modern warfighting demands a modern, standardized and integrated AOC. As a member of the Northrop Grumman AOC team, you will help to provide our warfighters with a state-of-the-art, net-centric computing solution that provides a flexible and robust environment for meeting the demands of time critical analysis and decision-making processes now and into the future.
Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
• Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Experience with training concepts, presentations and techniques required
• Excellent and well-founded, written and oral communication skills are essential
• Must have a minimum of five plus (5 ) years experience as a training design engineer
• Must have experience with conducting computer-based training and developing training materials
• Must demonstrate team-oriented mindset and flexibility with client and meet demanding deadlines
• Must have experience with Air & Space Operations or similar type of command and control center operations
• Must have prior experience as a cost account manager and/or managing teams, scope and cost on a development effort
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret level security clearance to be selected. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
• Experience with Air Force Training is highly desirable.
• Experience with AOC military operations is preferred.
• Candidates local to the Carson, CA area are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of and experience with training devices highly desired.
