System Administrator 1\2
As a member of this team, the desired individuals will coordinate and/or perform the activities for servers. They will Identify recurring problems and recommend steps to reduce the severity and frequency of the problems. The system administrators will assist application developers in testing and debugging new programs to ensure compatibility with existing server technologies. Consults with support teams, help desks, customers and other technical staff in the resolution of server related problems. Provides first tier support to storage area network and enterprise storage systems and performs server and storage capacity planning for the most complex and critical systems. Administrator will plan for the transition of the development and/or production environment to new technology. Utilizes system software to monitor the performance of system files; manages system data to maintain performance efficiencies and studies system requirements to determine proper server installation methods and procedures.
Required Job Skills/Qualifications: Experience with the following is required: Linux (CentOS) - Command line tools, shell scripting, setting up cron jobs - Setting up auto start - COTS package installation - Tools for diagnosing performance issues (top, htop, vmstat, iostat etc)
General - PKI - Apache web server - Tomcat - Nagios - Cygwin - Subversion version control system - Putty - VMWare Windows Server 2003 EE - Windows services - H2 database Additional Requirements.
Experience with the following is beneficial but not required: Solaris - Command line tools, shell scripting, setting up cron jobs - SMF - Solaris package tools (pkgadd, pkginfo, etc) - Tools for diagnosing performance issues (top, prstat, netstat, iostat, vmstat, dtrace, truss, etc)

Typical Education/Experience
Level 1 - Technical bachelor's degree. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study. Level 2 - Technical bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

Position requires current SSBI/SCI security clearance with FS Polygraph or equivalent. Applicants MUST include their Security Clearance Level, Investigation Type and Investigation Date clearly on their resume. Position is contingent on customer security approval.
