STAFF RN-FLOAT POOL-OPT-.001 FTE-ROTATING SHIFTS-FROEDTERT HOSPITAL-MILWAUKEE, WI
Job Summary: The Registered Nurse is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of primary patients according to Froedtert Hospital's professional practice model. This individual demonstrates increasing competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population. The Registered Nurse Float Pool job description has incorporated the 13 essential functions of the job description which are adapted from the ANA Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice. Other duties as assigned.
Experience: Two years of clinical nursing experience required. ICU experience required for Critical Care Pool.
Licensure: Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
Education: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
Shift requirements: 6 shifts per 4 week period. This includes 2 full weekend shifts and 1 full PM or Night shift in addition to the weekend shifts.
Special Skills: Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detatil for up to 80% of the work time when planning and performing professional nursing care, resolving patient care problems and dealing with patients and their families. Must demonstrate strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
