Position provides technical, acquisition and development support to the SMC/SY Non-Traditional SSA program
- Evaluate the integration of the program contractor's design with existing/legacy systems to ascertain if they meet the desired performance
- Evaluate the operational approach/procedures (e.g., TTPs, CONOPS, etc.) used with the system in development to ascertain if the desired warfighter capability is met
- Develop operational concepts (CONOPS) and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) which when used to operate the integrated system (program and legacy/existing) meets the requirements of the operational user
- Develop and maintain materials and courseware to train the operators in the proper use of the system
- Review the program to identify potential technical risks to project cost, schedule, and performance relative to the approved technical baseline and program execution
Education:
- Required Bachelors Degree in related discipline, engineering preferred
- Masters Degree of higher desirable
Experience:
- Minimum of six years in AF systems acquisition or equivalent experience required
- Four or more years of operational or acquisition experience in space situational awareness (SSA) experience, including data processing, highly desirable
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected; demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills; and effective written and oral communication skills required.
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance mandatory. Ability to be accessed to customer programs is required.
