Senior Production Editor
Working under the direction of the managing editor, the senior production editor will be responsible for the editorial production of books and serial publications.
Includes, evaluating manuscripts; supervising freelance copy editors, proofreaders, and indexers; and maintaining author relationships while adhering to set production schedules.
Basic design and composition as needed.
Minimum of two to three years of book publishing experience and responsibility for the editorial production process.
Bachelors degree.
Must be proficient in MS Word and have experience with Adobe InDesign.
Expert knowledge of the University of Chicago Manual of Style and ability to work under deadline pressure with strict attention to detail are essential.
