Reports to: Director, Information Technology & Services Department/ Division: Information Technology Employment Status: Full-time/Exempt
Position Description and Responsibilities
•Manages the staff who works in the infrastructure and engineering unit. •Manages and administers enterprise e-mail system (Microsoft Exchange 2007) including Exchange Failover •Manages the SAN environment •Manages the LAN, WAN, and fail over environments •Provides help desk service to AACR’s staff of 175 employees in three locations •Manages AD •Deploys GPOs •Helps to maintain the VMware Server environment •Manages the day to day operations of AACR’s infrasture team •Manages a staff of engineers and administrators within the unit •Manages and administers enterprise email system (Microsoft Exchange) •Maintains a LAN consisting of approximately 175 servers and 275 workstations •Manages and administers servers running MS Windows 2003 servers and Active Directory •Ensures security of stored information and provides access to relevant individuals. •Provides user support for professional staff. Manages shared network resources, including printers and shared storage. Installs and upgrades desktop applications, including MS-Office, Adobe. •Documents specific duties, activities, problems solved and issues resolved •Identifies, evaluates, and recommends hardware and software products •Provides input relative to improvement of network
Requirements:
Position Requirements
•Four Year College Degree Required •Computer Science Degree Preferred •CCNE or CNA certification is desired •MCSE desired Management of infrastructure environment and staff •Minimum of 3 years experience with Microsoft Exchange •Indepth knowlege of a Terminal server environment •Knowledge of management of a SAN environment •In Depth Knowledge of Cisco2821/2911 routers, Cisco ASA 55xx firewalls, and Cisco 3750/45xx switches required •Knowledge of three-tiered network environments •Knowledge of High Availability/Disaster Recovery systems and processes •Knowledge of the writing and maintenance of Firewall Rules •Knowwledge of SAN environment preferably NetApp •3-4 years hands on administration experience with Windows desktop operating systems and Windows Server operating systems Proficient in all Microsoft Office Products •Excellent understanding of Microsoft Windows XP/windows 7 •In Depth knowledge of networks (LAN and WAN) and TCP/IP •Knowledge of Cisco routers, firewalls, and Network infrastructure •Knowledge of SQL Server •Knowledge of MPLS, DR, HA •Knowledge of a Virtual Server environment •Knowledge of SAN environment
