Senior Benefits Analyst
Molex Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Benefits Analyst for their location is Lisle, IL (relocation assistance could be offered). The Sr. Benefits Analyst will be responsible to plan, develop and administer employee benefit plans, programs & policies which will include monitoring, analyzing and researching utilization, experience and trends and developing recommendations for Plan revision as appropriate. The Sr. Benefits Analyst will also be required to monitor current programs to assure compliance with IRS and ERISA regulations as well as manage projects and develop process solutions for new benefit plan implementations.
Responsibilities of the Sr. Benefits Analyst:
Oversee implementation, transition and administration of new and current benefit programs and vendors including administrative procedures, legal and compliance documents, form creation and maintenance and documentation of processes, both internally and with external vendors
Monitor, analyze and research experience (claims, administrative fees, and utilization by service/event) for benefit program plans through plan metrics. Develop costs by plan and provide recommendations for enhancements / changes to existing programs that are consistent with benefit objectives and strategies
Develops SAP specifications SAP test plans to ensure SAP programs and reports support the benefit plan designs and ERISA and IRS requirements
Monitor compliance of benefit programs and recommend necessary changes: 1) Preparation 5500 tax filings, ADP / ACP nondiscrimination testing, 2) Creation / maintenance, SPD’s SMM’s SAR’s other legally required notices. 3) Investigation of legal and recent legislative actions 4) Respond QDRO, QMSCO other government requests
Manages annual projects (Total Comp Statements, Pension Annual Contribution Information, Plan Audits, etc.) and coordinates ad hoc projects (e.g. Expansion 401(k) Funds, Mergers & Acquisitions)
Plans, develops and coordinates employee communication materials (annual enrollment, newsletters and publications) to promote understanding, including; written, oral, and electronic. Give benefit presentations to all levels of organization
Provides technical research, plan interpretation and educational support to Regional HR representatives. Develops, and delivers training as needed
Acts as liaison with banks, insurance carriers, actuaries, TPA’s record keepers, investment managers to assure proper administration of the plans
Assists with employee issues
Develop and maintain the knowledge and skills necessary to perform position responsibilities. Stay abreast of current trends and regulatory issues surrounding benefit plan design and administration
Assists Management with acquisition due diligence and integration of benefit plans
Requirements:
Requirements of the Sr. Benefits Analyst
Bachelor’s degree
CEBS certification preferred
5 years minimum of experience in working with Benefits
Experience working with Retirement plans and Health/Wellness
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Working knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems
Knowledge in HR and all types of benefit plans
External vendor management experience
Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations impacting employee benefits, including but not limited to ADEA, COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, EGTRRA, HIPAA
Excellent communication, organization, planning and interpersonal skills
Strong written communication skills including exceptional grammar and proofreading ability
Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical ability
Ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, set goals and consistently deliver timely and accurate products and services
Minimal travel, 1-2 times a year
