The Opportunity
We are building our sales team!
Until recently, we have used online and mobile ad networks to monetize our display inventory. Now, our traffic has doubled since December and we are looking for an entrepreneurial sales professional to help us build a killer sales pipeline. This is not a big company cog-in-the-machine job. Our network of sites has a large and devoted following, but we have been focused almost exclusively on growing our audience.
We're looking for someone who relishes the idea of being able to not only sell proven product (online and mobile display advertising) and take down fat commissions, but get in early at one of industry's fastest growing companies.
We are proud of our uncapped compensation plan. Top producers will earn well in excess of $200,000. All business and selling expenses are paid by Company. How big is this opportunity Other players in our market are generating 10x greater revenue per user.
Responsibilities
* Prospect, pitch, and close business with brand advertisers. You must be able to effectively engage agency and direct client decision makers
* Strategize and provide a consultative approach with clients to understand their needs and formulate intelligent and effective proposals.
* Capable of developing a pipeline of business from scratch with limited direction. An aggressive self-starter will thrive in this role.
* Must have creative, compelling and persuasive presentation skills and flourish in negotiations.
* Capable of generating own presentations in response to RFPs as well as general market, agency and advertiser needs.
* Provide timely reports, sales forecasts, account and competitive information.
Qualifications
* 5+ years of relevant ad sales experience selling digital media. Candidate will have an in-depth understanding of online and mobile advertising and the desire to stay informed on industry trends.
* Experience selling to entertainment, media, and CPG advertisers is a plus.
* Rolodex/relationships with advertising agencies a must. Candidate will have existing relationships within the regions leading online and mobile agencies.
* Exceptional communication skills written, verbal and presentation.
* You should have a track record of being a top performer that utilizes a consultative selling style.
* You must be comfortable scheduling an average of 3 customer-facing appointments per day.
* Solid negotiation skills and a complete understanding of media math (CPM, CPC, CPA).
* Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to travel.
Candidates must have experience in digital advertising.
