Sales Associate P/T Evenings (Prescription Benefits Specialist)

Responsibilities:

Our Prescription Benefit Specialist positions are responsible to:

  • Efficiently utilize company database to research and assimilate patient information and prescribing history.
  • Complete pre-call planning to develop effective dialogue strategy and call plan for each contact
  • Able to function efficiently in a work environment that includes cold-calling patients
  • Connect with patients by phone and quickly develop a rapport with that person
  • Utilize standard scripting to effectively present the features, benefits, convenience, and cost saving of making the decision to switch to preferred medication by mail
  • Effectively deals with and overcomes patient objections, concerns, issues, and rejection of the offer
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and company SOP requirements
  • Participate in program training including role playing and communication exercises
  • Consistently achieve defined performance levels
  • All calls are subject to monitoring for quality assurance purposes
  • Other related duties as assigned


DUBLIN OHIO LOCATION:
SCHEDULE:
This position would start July 28th, 2010.
During Training, hours will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday (this will last 3 weeks)

After training, the regular schedule will be Monday -Saturday 3:30pm to midnight, with Sunday and one set day off during the week. During Training, hours will be 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (this will last 5-7 weeks).

As business needs allow, these positions may, in the future, have potential for earlier hours. Medco also offers the potential to work at home

Medco offers a starting rate of $14.03/hr with the possibility of a monthly bonus based on performance.

Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 year demonstrated successful direct sales and/or telesales experience required
  • 1 year previous experience in a self-directed work environment required
  • Demonstrated stable work history
  • Pharmacy or healthcare related background is helpful
  • Demonstrated superior verbal communication skills by telephone
  • Excellent, clear speaking voice and solid command of the language
  • Highly effective listening skills
  • Possess proven sales skills; effectively uses sales techniques and is tenacious in successfully influencing customers
  • Demonstrates ability to handle rejection and customer obstacles in a positive manner
  • Functions well in an environment that requires incumbent to be a self-starter; to be self-motivated
  • 2 years of college preferred
  • Bi-lingual fluency helpful, but not required
