Safety Specialist

Company Description: Creative Converting, a division of Hoffmaster Group, Inc., a leading manufacturer of party goods in Clintonville, WI, is currently seeking to fill a Safety Specialist position. The successful candidate will enjoy a fast-paced team environment and generous benefit package. Creative Converting is conveniently located approximately 35 – 40 miles from either the Fox Valley or Green Bay.
Job Description: - Investigate workplace accidents and issue corrective action.
- Coordinate and conduct training of employees on safety, company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations.
- Participate in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) inspections, providing inspections with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures.
- Actively develop, identify and/or install safety "best practices".
- Be proactive in managing safety by ensuring that continual improvement plans are developed and actively managed.
- Maintain accurate safety-related documents and records.
- Auditing tasks to ensure safe work practices are performed as well as identifying opportunities to further improve safety performance and/or efficiency, productivity and costs.
Requirements: - Bachelor Degree or technical certificate
- 3 plus years experience in a safety related field
- Well developed written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, & Outlook
- Solid presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with people and build teams
