Providing health care services to nearly 250,000 residents of eastern Contra Costa County, Sutter Delta Medical Center remains the community's only not-for-profit acute care hospital. Its comprehensive services include 24-hour emergency care, surgery, family centers, obstetrics, pediatrics, acute rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, occupational health, physical therapy, intensive care and coronary care. Cardiac catheterization, sports rehabilitation and home health services are also among the medical center's areas of specialized care.
The primary role of the Family Birth Center staff Registered Nurse is to coordinate the delivery of care for the undelivered and delivered perinatal patient and her fetus/newborn during antepartum assessment, labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum.
Requirements:
All postings are open to internal candidates only for the first 7 days.
Current CA RN licensure required. BSN preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Experience in Labor-Delivery or maternal-child acute care setting required. C-Section experience preferred. Must demonstrate basic med-surg nursing skills. Ability to work with all levels of nursing personnel and assist them in a resource capacity. Basic competencies in the fundamentals of nursing and pharmacology are required. Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. CPR Certification and/or Certification in areas of specialty desirable. NRP required.
