In the US, we are creating a dynamic, new start-up division that will focus on a new delivery system for procedural sedation in the emergency department and hospital. This therapy will be focused on short duration, painful procedures.
Linde Healthcare is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager Midwest to join the team in Chicago, IL.
Job Responsibilities:
Teaching, training and coaching 8-12 medical device hospital/physician sales professionals
Conduct regular and complete days in the field in a coaching and mentoring role
Act as key liaison between Key Opinion leaders and corporate marketing
Planning, budgeting, analysis, and administration
Organizing, planning, and conducting, as well as attending various sales and sales management meetings.
Job performance reviews and development of team members
Recruiting and staffing strong regional team
Ensure that core sales and marketing messages are consistently communicated to the proper targeted customers in the field
Organizes and conducts regional/area medical advisory board meetings
Sets district goals and develops sales forecasts and plans based on account analysis and marketing data
Maximizes sales impact (ROI) of expenses, discretionary dollars marketing programs
Lead, coach and mentor team to the successful completion of their goals and objectives; meet all reporting requirements and forecasting activities
Participate in business planning, incentive planning and program development
Interface with corporate personnel and provide feedback on marketing and sales plan

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or life science, MBA preferred
Minimum of 5 years successful experience as a pharmaceutical or medical device sales representative, including 2 years of hospital sales experience
In addition, a minimum of 3 years Medical device/pharmaceutical hospital/institutional sales management experience
Thorough understanding of the various functions of academic and community based hospitals and healthcare delivery systems
Demonstrated knowledge of managed care reimbursement, Medicare and Medicaid
Has developed an excellent Key Opinion Leader network within region
Extraordinary knowledge of hospital new product protocols, including P&T committee and medical device committee processes
Proven track record of award winning sales and sales leadership performance
Broad knowledge of principles and methods in a recognized professional field, or working knowledge of multiple fields
Travel approximately 70%
Extensive interpersonal, communication skills (oral and written) and project management skills are critical to prepare and present marketing plans, train the sales force, and interact with all levels of management in both field sales, the division, and outside businesses
Advanced computer and presentation skills (proficiencies in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes and CRM systems) are required
Strong interpersonal, leadership and team building skills
Excellent organizational, follow up and analytical skills are necessary, as this role will transfer knowledge of market trends and product opportunities into actionable plans among the district, but also to product management teams in headquarters.
