. Interprets federal regulations as they apply to export and/or import activity. . Interfaces with U.S. Customs, State Department, Commerce Department and other federal regulatory agencies as necessary. . Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness. Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions. Decisions affect the financial, employee, or public relations posture of the corporation. Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. . Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups. Serves as prime consultant and external spokesperson for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities and long range goals and objectives. . Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. Works under consultive direction toward long range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Virtually self- supervisory. . Develops advanced concepts, techniques and standards. Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories. Viewed as expert in field within the corporation. Having broad expertise or unique knowledge, uses skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways. . Establishes and maintains relations with appropriate government licensing authorities to ensure that the company's position on licensing and technology release is conveyed, understood and accepted. . May develop and implement programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies. . Establishes requirements for license generation, guidance of the license generation and tracking process, and support of submitted licenses throughout U.S. Government review and approval processes. . Provides thought leadership and strategic thinking to the department others within the enterprise including senior leaders. . Provides thought leadership and strategic thinking with respect to: a) review of RCI's regulatory compliance systems, processes, reporting methods and controls, b) development of applicable regulatory compliance strategies in alignment with overall goals of senior management, and c) implementation of the business unit's strategic plan. . Communicates effectively at senior leader level. Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline, and eight years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, fourteen years of related experience.
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is requried.
