Growing Accounting Department is seeking individual with bookkeeping experience ( A/R, A/P, Payroll, Collections, etc..). As a member of the Accounting Department you will ensure accurate processing and recording of multiple companies payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, participate in daily data entry Payroll processing. This position will impact a rapidly growing organization and offers career development opportunities for the right candidate. This position will be responsible for verification, audit, and sign-off on weekly payroll for the assigned facility. Will also assist in the maintenance of medical leave/FMLA, Maintain system performance and informational integrity of the time and attendance system; respond to departmental and outside requests for payroll information and employee check inquiries, and assist HR in issuing warnings. Must be detail oriented, able to keep information confidential, meet internal and external deadlines and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, along with the ability to learn new software programs quickly is needed. Effective written and oral communication skills required, along with high level of accuracy. Knowledge of QuickBooks Accounting software is a MUST. Experience with Time Force Payroll System a PLUS! Demonstrated excellent attendance record will be required. Duties and Responsibilities Perform daily payroll department operations Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports Process weekly payroll for approximately 400 Employees and Sales Agents Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance Perform compliances for unclaimed property payroll checks Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc) Process manual check Qualifications 1-3 years experience processing multi-state, company payroll. Working knowledge of payroll best practices Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel Experience with QuickBooks Strong written communication skills Pay $12-$14 an hour based on experience.
