Payroll Coordinator/Processor needed in Rochester Hills, cription Payroll Coordinator/Processor needed for a Metro Detroit based company to coordinate processing time records, compile payroll statistics, maintain payroll control records, assist in human resource questions/problems, answering benefit or human resource questions and calculating payrolls. This person will be the company liaison for entry level Benefit and Human Resources related questions and assist in a variety of administrative tasks. Primary Responsibilities: -Reviews rates of pay, and occupations of newly hired workers, and changes in wage rates and occupations of employees on payroll -Records, or directs recording of, new or changed pay rates in payroll register or computer files -Directs computation of pay according to company policy -Directs compilation and preparation of other payroll data such as pension, insurance, and credit union payments -Reviews and approves payroll deductions -Interprets company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures -Reviews payroll to ensure accuracy -Issues written and oral instructions -Examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures -Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency -Adjusts errors and complaints -Answers benefit questions and direct party to appropriate department when unable to answer -Counsels clients in general human resource compliance -Directs clients to appropriate internal department/person for elevated human resource concerns and/or questions -Oversee all managerial aspects for Human Resource Services Coordinators Qualifications Seeking a growth oriented, organized employee who has the ability to multi-task and adapt to a fast paced environment! Qualified candidates must possess: -Two year degree in Accounting or related field, or 1-2 years of related experience in payroll -1-2 years of experience processing payroll from beginning to end, including printing of payroll checks preferred -Ability to read and interpret documents such as: safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals -Ability to write routine reports and correspondence - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume -Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry -Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists -Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in different forms -Proficient in MS Office and basic computer skills -Prior experience with Accounting software, Payroll systems, Human Resource systems and Database software preferred -Excellent customer service skills -Great written and verbal communication skillsApply for this job Not for You?Keywords:Location:
