Job Summary
The OD Analyst assesses customer or business needs and provides OD solutions (e.g., structure, process, behaviors) to business unit leaders to support organizational needs and drive business results. The OD Analyst supports internal Performance Consulting for the business units (e.g. performance consulting, change management, workflow processes, motivation, etc.).
The Organizational Development (OD) Analyst may also be responsible for developing and implementing talent management systems and processes (e.g., selection, performance management, career development, succession planning, job modeling, etc.) that support individual, team and organizational performance within legal and professional standards. To support talent management system and process responsibilities, the OD Analyst may also be responsible for designing and implementing research studies that demonstrate the reliability and validity of talent management systems and processes.
This position manages projects, specialists, interns, and contractors.
Job Duties / Responsibilities and Skills
Manages projects (e.g., development of project plans, interfacing and communicating with key stakeholders, coordinating project resources).
Designs, develops and implements talent management processes (e.g., job modeling, selection, performance management, succession planning, development, etc.) that advance individual and organizational performance in-line with the organization's strategy.
Conducts internal and external research (e.g., literature reviews, professional networks, documentation reviews, focus groups, etc.) to benchmark and identify best practices in talent management and performance consulting. Stays current with talent management trends.
Develops, distributes and collects surveys, conducts interviews or focus groups to gather feedback from field users. Analyzes data to determine root causes and solutions.
Prepares presentations that represent findings and recommendations in a clear, easy-to-understand manner that supports individual and organizational growth and development.
Conducts qualitative and quantitative data analysis by choosing the appropriate methods for given purposes, interpreting results and drawing conclusions from analysis.

Manages Projects/Programs - Manages and implements projects (e.g., ensures that stakeholders and implementation teams clearly understand the plan, schedule, objectives, metrics, roles and responsibilities; manages project scope; identifies root causes of implementation issues; mobilizes course correction efforts as required; conducts formal project closeout review; skilled in the use of project management tools and technology).
Conducts Statistical Analysis - Demonstrates extensive knowledge of statistical sampling, tests, and analyses and chooses the appropriate methods for given purposes; demonstrates an ability to interpret results and draw conclusions from analyses; troubleshoots errors in data, models, and interpretation and creates processes for improving the integrity of existing data.
Measures/Evaluates Performance and Results - Identifies the key indicators of performance for individuals, departments, and/or groups; creates measures and determines the desired results; recommends methods for measurement (surveys, observation, recordkeeping, etc.) and a measurement plan; sets meaningful goals for individuals, departments, and/or groups; conducts routine individual performance assessments and outlines potential implications of performance shortcomings.
Designs/Develops Integrated Solutions to Business problems - Gathers information from multiple sources to understand the problem and, with some guidance, determine business requirements / critical elements; researches and identifies alternative solutions; recommends incremental improvements to existing processes or programs; lists arguments in favor of solution and backs arguments with data; recommends measures for determining effectiveness of solution.
Attention to detail - Attends to and verifies the accuracy and completeness of detailed information in every aspect of their work.
Advocates/Sells Ideas to Stakeholders - Identifies and addresses stakeholder perspectives when selling an idea (describes impact of ideas on the company and convinces others of the benefits).
Designs and Develops Communications - Develops communications strategies for events and programs; crafts effective messaging and visuals tailored to target specific audience(s). Outputs include technical documents, presentations, workshops reports, and memos.
Coaches and Develops Others - Uses existing career development process and tools to monitor employee development; provides feedback to direct reports and peers on job skills and personal behavior; identifies employees’ areas of strength and developmental needs; recommends training opportunities for others with some guidance; assists in providing developmental suggestions to employees that align with their goals.

Masters Degree - Required
Minimum Qualifiers
PHD Degree - Preferred 3+ years work experience - Preferred
International work experience is a plus
