Occupational Health & Safety Administrator
The Occupational Health and Safety Administrator is responsible for assisting with the implementation of standardized health and safety programs to ensure compliance with corporate health and safety policies and state and federal regulations. The successful candidate will impact corporate savings through elimination of occupational injuries/illnesses, property damage and improvement of production efficiency, as well as safeguarding the health and safety of all employees.
Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years Occupational Health and Safety or Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Basic understanding of federal and state OSHA regulations and requirements
• Ability to sit for CSP certification within a given time frame
Preferred Qualifications: • Demonstrated ability to independently organize and prioritize work assignments and compliance activities
• Work effectively as a team member in a team environment to communicate the message of health and safety
• Work well with individuals external to the department
• Willing to work any shift and additional hours as required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Effective written and verbal communications skills
• Legally authorized to work in the US and will not now, or in the future require sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g. H-1B visa)
• Advance degree in industrial safety or engineering
• CSP certification a plus
• Working knowledge of World Class Manufacturing or lean manufacturing
