Overview :
Under direction of the facility Human Resource Director, and guidance from corporate Human Resources, provide Human Resources leadership and support for the distribution facilities in Tampa and Miami, Florida , which will result in improved quality, employee morale, increased productivity and reduced turnover.
Key Responsibilities :
Counsel employees on policies, procedures and workplace concerns to help the employee identify appropriate resolution steps.
Manage employee relations activities and address all issues in a timely manner for the hourly population
With the administrative support of HR Generalist, complete all human resources administrative and record keeping requirements.
Assume responsibility for the entire lifecycle of the hiring process from sourcing candidates through interviews, screening (background checks/drug tests), offers and the on roll process.
Conduct new hire orientation as well as selected training classes.
Administration of performance appraisal process for exempt and non-exempt associates.
Plan and monitor HR payroll and non-payroll budget.
Serve as a member of the Safety Committee, Diversity and Partners-in-Time program
Lead the HR function in absence of HR Director
Skills Summary :
Minimum 5 years Human Resources experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong leadership/teamwork and interpersonal skills
Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
Bachelors Degree and or HR (SHRM) certification preferred
Systems/Technology:
Knowledge of PC programs including Word; Excel; Lotus Notes and Macy's Systems, PeopleSoft, and TIA (timekeeping), and recruiting system (applicant tracking).
Management Skills:
Ability to maintain organization in a fast paced, hectic environment.
Proven communications skills: both written and verbal.
Flexibility in work schedule, willing to work extended hours when necessary.
