About the Marine Crewing Manager Position
Reporting to Director, Human Resources, the primary role of this position will be to work closely with Corporate Recruiter to develop sources to recruit experienced marine talent. Work closely with Marine Operations Department and HR department to ensure vessels are properly staffed with personnel who possess the appropriate certifications, training and experience as detailed in the vessel training matrices; Interface with the vessel managers and Human Resources department to ensure that personnel receive required and requested training as appropriate to maintain marine certifications and qualifications. Interface with and direct any 3rd-party crewing agencies for the supply and maintenance of the marine-related positions which will not be hired directly to the company. Assist in the completion of salary studies and compensation rate determinations to assure that the company is competitive within the industry while minimizing labor costs. Provide the vessel Masters and Managers with technical assistance in all marine-related crewing issues. Work closely with Human Resources to resolve employee relations issues. Develop crewing strategies in conjunction with vessel management, the Travel/Logistics and Human Resources Departments. Any other duties as required.
Experience Required:
You must be a Licensed Mariner with Bachelor’s Degree. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years Marine Operations or Marine Crewing experience. Be willing to work onshore in the corporate office. You must be proficient in the use of MS Office, NS5 and Oracle.
