Manager, Learning and Development-Located in Tempe, AZ
Overview:
Manage, plan, schedule and coordinate all aspects of classroom facilitation/training. Oversee the administration and execution of all training initiatives, ensuring compliance for all associate, supervisor and executive level training. Required to oversee the delivery of training in a blended learning environment, utilizing e-learning tools and multimedia based learning. Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting and follow-up and supervision of all trainees and programs during training class, and direct supervision of Facilitators. Identify appropriate, innovative ways to deliver training and performance support. Manage the process to facilitate all programs as designed, identify gaps and opportunities for improvement working closely with the Design & Development team. Communicate progress and results on a consistent basis developing and utilizing reports. Provide consistent follow-up and evaluation of training programs and initiatives. Develop solid partnerships with each area of business to ensure consistent communication.
Key Accountabilities:
Plan, coordinate and facilitate all new and on-going training programs
Ensure training programs are executed as designed with time-line designated
Monitor, troubleshoot and follow-up on all training programs; deliver training in an e-learning environment
Identify and develop strategies for improvement on programs and performance tools
Partner with Design/Development Team
Evaluate training programs and events
Support a variety of training initiatives as dictated by business needs and assist in piloting new programs
Conduct training for Executives, Supervisors, and Associates for designated programs
Assist with MCCS Academy
Conduct classroom audits, monitor and evaluate Facilitator performance; coach and develop as needed
Oversee Associate concerns and issues while in the classroom; partner with HR when necessary
Manage the process to track attendance and completion status; ensure all participants attend classes or events
Utilize and develop reports to track progress and results of Trainees; communicate to Executives & Leads; monitor Trainee's performance, evaluate training progress, and make recommendations for future training and development
Cultivate and maintain relationships with all key Operations Executives, Macy's Corporate, MCCS Learning & Development Management and outside vendors
Facilitate ongoing communication between Facilitation Team, Design Team and Operations - 4-Center
Provide consistent feedback, evaluation and follow-up to the Design & Development team on effectiveness of materials; monitor feedback from participants
Travel may be required
Skills Summary:
Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a 4-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Macy's Trainer Certification required (if not certified, must become certified after placed in position)
Knowledge of PC Equipment and applications required
Must have strong presentation, interpersonal skills and high degree of professionalism
Familiarity with various training methods (e-learning, Trainer Certification) required
Must be able to work independently, multi-task and be detail oriented
