At DISH Network, we are working to develop a Best In Class leadership development program.  To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. The Leadership and Talent Management (L&TM) (organization at DISH Network has an opening for a Manager, Leadership Development. This position will be located in Englewood, CO (South Denver) and will report to the Leadership Development and Talent Management Leader. 

The Leadership and Talent Management team is responsible for the design and delivery of DISH Network’s company-wide talent management initiatives and learning & development programs (e.g., the talent planning process, competency modeling, assessments, executive and high potential coaching, career development, leadership development, organizational surveys, on-boarding, leadership development workshops).  In addition, we are responsible for the design and implementation of the hiring processes and initiatives across the organization, such as validation studies, benchmarking, on-going improvements, test development, etc.

The Manager, Leadership Development will be primarily responsible for program management of all aspects of DISH’s leadership development programs for high potential employees and leaders of all levels (front line supervisors to executives). The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that DISH leadership development programs contain cutting-edge, innovative, and high-impact development experiences that build the leadership pipeline and accelerate the readiness of emerging and current leaders. Critical to the success of this position will be the incumbent's ability to create/modify leadership programs to include an array of high impact development experiences, develop clear and feasible project plans, execute all aspects of these plans, and deliver exceptional results.

This position works with peers who support other aspects of talent management, such as employee on-boarding, employee development, hiring processes, etc.  The incumbent will collaborate closely with other members of the team as well as training and development groups in other parts of the company. 


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and drive the delivery of all aspects (from content to logistics to execution to evaluation) of DISH Network’s best in class leadership development programs
  • Determine best approaches for delivering programs 
  • Introduce new development activities to existing leadership programs to ensure a blended mix of development activities (e.g. action learning, peer coaching, mentoring, external speakers, 360° feedback)
  • Develop and document all relevant processes, supporting timelines, templates, tools, for leadership development programs and development activities
  • Facilitate workshops focused on leadership development
  • Establish key metrics for measuring the impact of the leadership development programs and processes
  • Manage SharePoint website used for delivering content to program participants
  • Develop a repository of external leadership development resources (e.g. executive coaches, development programs, external courses/curriculum, etc) that supplements our internal leadership development resources

  • 7-10 years of work experience with solid career progression in the field of training and development, including experience in designing and delivering leadership development programs 
  • Bachelor degree required. Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (or similar program) is preferred
  • HR generalist and/or line management experience highly desirable
