Overview:
Direct the efforts of the Transportation centers as it relates to delivery operations to include both service and expense related initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Manage, coach, develop and provide leadership to the distribution center operations teams..
Establish and maintain performance standards for network delivery operations.
Represent transportation needs with MST and FL systems group to maintain, support and enhance programs to facilitate a smooth flow of retail merchandise to the consumer.
Establish criteria and identify need for specialized carrier services.
Identify and drive expense and service initiatives.
Implement operating standard practices across the network to support delivery operations.
Establish, document and train to best practices.
Identify shipping systems opportunities.
Responsible for holiday strategy implementation and continuous improvement.
Ongoing review of Transportation outbound operations.
Initiate, coordinate, implement and support Transportation national service improvement and rate reduction initiatives.
