Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP advises clients on managing business controversy and conflict, executing deals, and maintaining regulatory compliance. We provide services to companies throughout their lifecycle from purchasing a company to investigating potential fraud.

Our Deloitte FAS professionals assist companies in identifying the economic value inside of their commercial real estate leases by providing good understanding of 1) base rents both step and CPI, 2) additional rent including CAM (common area maintenance) for retail, office and industrial product, standard operating expense and property tax lease language for lease inclusions and exclusions under GAAP or sounding real estate accounting principals, management fees, property administrative costs, maintenance, repair and capital expenditures, utility consumption and measurement/metering, parking costs both direct and indirect, gross-up variable and fixed costs for vacant space, building insurance issues, etc. and 3) sundry income such as the rent and cost components of after-hours HVAC, above standard cleaning and other extra services. We help clients to properly quantify and articulate values for overbillings by landlords or under billings to tenants of their annual operating expense reporting and true-ups, and property tax analysis. These skills sets include lease audits for tenants, reverse lease audits for landlords, property acquisition due diligence for buyers by assisting in the underwriting of net operating income for commercial properties, lease abstract, lease administration and the management of these types of professional lifiedManager will possess the following:
- 5+years of technical, real estate financial advisory or property management and related experience
- Demonstrated experience with managing of day to day aspects of client relationships, staff and projects.
- Will have responsibility for quality of client deliverables, mentor and develop staff and senior associates, develop client network, and support efforts in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies
- A strong finance, accounting or economics background required
- A good understanding of commercial property management process, procedures and accounting
- Experience in professional services firm preferred
- BS, MBAand or CPA preferred
