The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting communication-related initiatives targeting DISH Network’s internal employee base. This individual is a member of the Human Resources team and works closely with HR colleagues and other internal departments to craft and disseminate employee communications across the enterprise.
Develop and manage content for a variety of internal media, including intranet sites, external web sites, videos, blogs, organization announcements and presentations. Write, obtain approvals and distribute internal communications material.
Contribute to the overall internal communications strategy for DISH Network, in support of the company's business initiatives.
Create messaging and themes to educate employees about the company's strategies, products, promotions and services.
Communicate employee policies and procedures as well as associate initiatives.
Design and manage strategic internal communication plans for various employee initiatives, and execute tactics for delivering key messages and information to internal audiences.
Ensure uniformity and consistency of internal communication messaging to all DISH Network employees.
Identify and assess communication needs of management and employees and develop and measure employee communication plans accordingly.
Collaborate with creative staff and external vendors as needed, including video production crew, video editors, graphic designers, freelance writers, photographers, bloggers, printers, etc. to ensure timely and cost effective completion of initiatives.
Bachelor degree in Communications, English, Journalism or related field
Ideal candidate will have 2 - 5 years experience in internal or human resources communications
