Human Resources Supervisor -UPS Freight
UPS Freight is currently looking for an experienced Human Resources Supervisor. The HR Supervisor provides consultative support to business unit managers in the area of Organization Training, Performance Management, Health and Safety, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, and Workforce Planning. This position provides valued solutions to management for the implementation of HR initiatives and may supervise specialists and administrative support in the HR function. The Human Resources Supervisor reports to the Area HR Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Coaching on issues related to policy and procedures, employee discipline, health and safety, and conducting investigations.
Provides guidance and leverages business relationships to achieve goals.
Serves as a strategic partner and utilizes HR tools to maximize employee performance and to achieve organizational effectiveness, while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Conducts performance evaluations to develop others to ensure accountability to established performance levels.
Executes and implements various initiatives using a tactical project planning approach.
Experience:
A minimum of three years of work experience in Human Resources, preferably in a HR Generalist type role is required.
Must have understanding of Affirmative Action Plans.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision with a high attention to detail. Organized, customer-focused.
Experience and comprehensive knowledge of MS Office.
Fundamental skills in communications, demonstrated from prior work experience the ability to learn quickly, be flexible, possess leadership, and have strong decision-making skills.
Must be able to interact with people on all levels.
Strong analytical, oral/written communication, basic research and time management skills.
Must be able to travel.
Employee Relations and Investigation experience is preferred.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in HR Management, General Business, or other related field or equivalent experience is required. PHR or SPHR is preferred.
