The HR Delivery team partners with PG&E's lines of business as their Human Resources (HR) strategic advisor and collaborator for HR strategy. The HR Delivery team leads and partners in the implementation and maintenance of HR programs, including Performance Management, Succession Planning, Leadership Development, Compensation Programs and Employee Relations.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager will work closely with assigned clients in Information Systems Technology Services (ISTS) organization, as their Human Resources (HR) strategic advisor and collaborator for implementing new programs, initiatives and maintaining existing programs. In addition, this role will work closely with the HR Director and our business partners on organization design initiatives and special projects on behalf of the entire IT organization. Will represent both HR and business unit in planning, implementing strategy and leadership sessions to ensure initiatives are achieved. The HR Manager will be involved in the handling of sensitive HR issues involving senior leadership and assuming the role of HR contact with other departments. The successful candidate will have the ability to partner with and advise senior level executives on HR related plans, risks, impacts and actions impacting short and long term strategy.
The successful candidate must thrive in a fast paced environment with ever changing direction and priorities. Must be able to contribute immediately to develop and deliver the best HR solutions for the client. He/she must be a self starter, action oriented, able to change direction and approach to fit the varying needs of the client. Flexibility and open to change, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills are musts. Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities is critical. The successful candidate must be flexible, a team player, be able to work closely with HR peers and our CoEs partners to develop and deliver the best HR solutions for the client and for the success of Human Resources as a whole.
Responsibilities
* Partner with leadership team (officer/directors) to determine strategies needed to drive results for the business. Support execution of strategies and change management activities. * Provide executive coaching and organizational consulting for senior leadership to improve their individual effectiveness and the effectiveness of their organization. * Address and resolve complex HR issues that arise directly from the business and/or through HR Consultants. Work with department leadership to recommend solutions and strategies to resolve HR issues. * Partner with HR functions to ensure appropriate execution and delivery of HR programs and initiatives; provides input on and the delivery of various HR programs and initiatives * Participate in the development and execution of the overall IT People Strategy
Required:
* BS degree or equivalent * Minimum of 10 years relevant experience as an HR Generalist with increasing responsibilities ranging from employee relations, compensation, leadership development, organizational development/consulting, land workforce planning. * Demonstrated experience in leading or managing projects or department/organization program or initiatives.
Desired:
* MBA or Master's degree desired. * SPHR * Experience in organization consulting at the executive level * Understanding of change management concepts and practices * Experience working with IT professions in IT/high tech companies * Proficient in MS Power Point, MS Excel
