HR Manager
The HR Manager role is responsible for the delivery and execution of HR programs and services with direction from the HR team. The role supports the HR business plan by executing and supporting key initiatives and processes. Incumbents use their knowledge of HR to provide solutions impacting the workforce and in support of key business initiatives.
This role is part of the Fidelity Institutional (FI) Human Resource's team and supports the work of the FI functional organizations to include CAO, Finance, Large Market Payroll and Technology.
Primary Responsibilities
* Ensures consistency and alignment with Human Resources, Business Unit and Enterprise Function initiatives
* Manage various program and project deliverables and may be engaged in implementation with select leaders
* Consult with select leaders on organizational, workforce, performance and leadership issues and objectives
* Focus on the transactional elements of compensation projects: review trends, surface issues, resource problems, deliver projects & integrate at line level
* Project manage compensation cycles (merit, bonus, shares), across the FI Functional groups to include data collection, review, analysis, issue identification and problem resolution
* Drives, tracks, monitors and supports organization design, HR/BU/Enterprise Function initiatives and deliverables such as internships, LEAP hires, span of control, performance management process,workforce planning (retention, attrition), talent management and succession planning.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
* Bachelors Degree, MBA preferred
* 4-5 years of experience in a HR Generalist and/or Specialist (compensation, training and development, OD, staffing)
* HR experience in a technology environment preferred
Skills and Knowledge
* Ability to understand multiple segments of the FI business and organizational intra-dependencies and apply understanding to influence business decisions
* Experience in applying knowledge of HR to specific needs of the business
* Demonstrated ability to understand business needs and how to leverage expertise and partner with Core HR to design/deliver solutions
* Skills in Project Management - providing direction to work/project/process team, identifying capabilities required for a project or program, development of plans and communication of status to varying levels of constituents
* Demonstrated strong judgment, sound decision making and problem solving abilities
* Analytical ability to tell a story with data, charts, spreadsheets, etc. Skilled with spreadsheets and data manipulation
* Strong organization, prioritization, communication and customer service skills
