Human Resources Manager/HR Generalist
Skywalk Group has a client that is searching for a Human Resource Manager AND a Benefit Administrator. Our client is a multi – state construction company that employs 700+ employees.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Provide HR generalist support to client group of approximately 700 employees located in 6 Mid-western states.
• Manage all recruiting, staffing and succession planning to ensure strong talent acquisition for the business.
• Provide guidance for performance feedback, employee development, and performance management to enhance individual and team performance.
• Manage compensation plans, including salary, variable incentive compensation and award programs to effectively recognize performance.
• Provide counsel on employment policies and practices
• Establish and carry out effective communication plans to ensure the organization understands key business goals, measurements, initiatives and progress.
Requirements:
Qualifications/Requirements
BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field
• Minimum 5 years of HR Manager experience in a manufacturing, construction, or transportation environment (OR 3 years HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing, construction or transportation environment)
• Proven ability to operate independently and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines in a fast paced team environment
• Ability to interact and communicate on a professional basis across different levels of the organization
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to adapt to changing responsibilities
• Demonstrated understanding of general HR processes and core competencies
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Ability to make effective decisions and solve problems
