PRGX CANADA CORP. Human Resources Generalist - 1 Year Contract PRGX is a business analytics and information services firm. We are pioneering a new suite of services called Profit Discovery . The focus of Profit Discovery is improving our clients financial performance via a combination of audit, analytics and advisory services. The core capabilities used to deliver these services include data mining, procure-to-pay business process expertise, and our knowledge of finance operations. In our legacy audit business, we analyze 1.5 million data files each year to identify client overpayments to suppliers, thereby improving client profits. As part of our new strategy, we have launched business analytics and advisory services that use the 4 petabytes of data clients already entrust us with to discover more profits hidden in their procure-to-pay processes. So, Profit Discovery covers the past, present and future of our clients profits. We currently have an opening for a Human Resources Generalist. Main responsibilities include: Recruitment: Responsible for achieving business unit recruiting objectives and ensuring application and completeness of the Staffing Requisition forms. Develop and implement a recruiting strategy which may encompass internet, networking, referrals and other direct sourcing methods. Ensure implementation and effectiveness of employee orientation and probationary initiatives. Work closely with managers to ensure job descriptions are up-to-date. Employee Relations: Proactive in handling employee relations situations and initiatives designed to improve employee moral, productivity and retention. Establish rapport with employees and encourage employees to communicate openly concerning issues affecting job satisfaction. Act as a resource to employees regarding inquires related to company polices and procedures. Portray a strong sense of professional integrity. Counsel managers on discipline, attendance, conflict resolution, attrition, etc. Act as a resource for the termination process in terms of coaching and preparation for delivery and all required follow-up activities. Perform confidential investigations as appropriate. Conduct employee exit interviews. Performance Management/Employee Development : Administer performance appraisal processes and ensure that Performance Appraisals are done on a timely basis. Provide counsel and feedback to improve effectiveness of ongoing performance coaching and Performance Improvement Plans. May assist in delivery of difficult performance feedback. Takes an active role in succession planning. Compliance Programs : Promote initiatives and work with business unit management team to achieve goals and objectives with respect to diversity, privacy, ESA, Human Rights, Health and Safety, etc. Act as a member of the Joint Health & Safety Committee and ensure that inspections are conducted within required timelines. Monitor progress and areas in need of improvement. Administrative: Ensure all HR paperwork is completed on a timely and accurate basis. Administer the Annual Merit Increase process for Field Operations in collaboration with managers and VPs. Communicate all staff changes to Payroll and Finance. Administer the company's Group Benefit Plan Manage the internal HRIS system (PeopleSoft) to ensure information is accurate and up-to-date. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of all Employment Agreements and Restrictive Covenant Agreements. Participate in developing, recommending and implementing human resources policies, standards and procedures. Generate ad hoc reports for management and bi-weekly reports for payroll department. Oversee anniversary service awards program. Send IT Department system access requests for new employees in a timely manner. Coordinate annual events schedule with management and communicate to all office locations. Other duties may be assigned from time to time. Education: Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Human Resources or related field (CHRP designation is an asset). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: 3+ years of progressive human resources experience Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities Experience with HRIS (PeopleSoft) is an asset Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Must be familiar with Canadian Employment Standards The successful candidate will be required to work at two different office locations. Four days per week will be spent working at the Mississauga office and one day at the Cambridge office. Some travel will be required, approximately once or twice a year to the other Canadian office locations.
