Alliance Industries, Midwest’s premier source for metal coating and foundry sand cores, is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Director to lead the Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes accountability, quality, service, and productivity through the recruitment and retention of a superior workforce. This position will be based in Menasha, WI and with time spent each week Waupaca and Marinette as required to support those locations. Summary: The Human Resources Director is accountable for the implementation and coordination of all policies and programs concerning employment, legal compliance, training, employee relations, organizational development, compensation, performance management, benefits, and safety and health for all three company locations.  This position reports to the Controller and partners with the Executive Team on all human resources matters.




Job Duties:



  • Develop, implement and coordinate centralized, company-wide human resources practices, programs and policies.

  • Continually analyze systems and procedures for process improvements leading to the highest level of quality and productivity.

  • Develop and maintain a safety culture that ensures safety first. Coordinate training and implementation.

  • Coach and work with management to assure consistent employee development, recognition and discipline.

  • Develop and maintain internal and external customer relationships to support Alliance Industries; Vision, Mission and Core Values.

  • Increase the retention of an unskilled workforce.

  • Lead talent management and timely performance management to ensure a high performance workforce.

  •  Partner with management to build cohesive, effective teams for optimum productivity.

  • Administer compensation program keeping the company competitive and legally compliant.

  • Recruit quality candidates promoting Alliance Industries as a premier employer or choice through the company website, online recruiting websites, colleges, high schools, job fairs, third party recruiters, employee referral programs, and word of mouth.

  • Coordinate the successful on-boarding of new employees to ensure that all payroll, benefit, and employee files are established correctly and in full legal compliance.

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws in all written policies and workplace actions.

  • Working with the Controller, select and coordinate the use of consultants, insurance brokers, insurance carriers, retirement administrators, training specialists and outside resources.

  • Benefit development and administration including new enrollees, changes, terminations and COBRA processing. Answer questions for employees.

  • Oversee the safety and worker’s compensation programs and documentation including reporting, case management and Return-to-Work programs.

  • Implement effective information technology systems to track candidate and employee data, training records, payroll, etc.

  • Represent the company as required at government proceedings or legal matters.

  • Provide information upon request for handling UC claims and other employee data inquiries.

  • Develop training programs and ensure employee required training is up to date and documented.

  • Ensure regular contact with employees at all levels.

  • Maintain confidentiality records and information.

  • Willing to work flexible hours that span all shifts as needed to ensure that employees have access to support regardless of their hours/days of work. 

  • Travel to service all three plants and as required for future expansion.


 




Requirements:

 



  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources or a related Business Management field required.

  • 7 to 10 years of Human Resources Management in a Manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrated success in recruiting and retaining a superior workforce.

  • Strategic and collaborative leadership skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, ever changing environment.

  • Excellent problem solving, organizational and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong compensation and benefit management skills.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and HRIS and payroll systems.

  • Strong knowledge of effective employment practices and employment law.

  • Exhibit creativity and a good sense of humor.
