Position Description
As a member of the Fort Worth HR Team, the HR Coordinator is responsible for supporting various Human Resources processes. These processes include but are not limited to talent acquisition, employee on-boarding, compensation administration (base pay, stock & variable pay administration), personnel reporting and metrics generation, employee data changes, and maintenance of personnel files and records. The position is the first point of contact for the HR department and is responsible for timely response to colleague requests and helping employees understand information pertinent to their well-being. Coordinates and tracks information related to routine Human Resources programs and activities. Provides administrative support to HR Director.
Position Responsibilities
Supports administrative needs of the HR Director as well as within the department on a limited basis, including meeting support, supply management and the travel and expense reimbursement of the HR Director. Provides administrative support to external & internal candidates and on-boarding of new hires through PeopleClick. This includes helping with offer letters and handling background and screening processes in a timely fashion. Organizes employee-sponsored activities, i.e. Employee Resource Events, Quarterly employee Meetings, Company Picnic and Holiday party and other business functions as requested. Administer payroll to ensure accurate data is processed timely. Set up and terminate employees and contractors in time keeping system. Assist with coordination of contractor onboarding/termination process. Ensures proper parties are notified of new hires, transfers, promotions, leave of absence and terminations to activate or deactivate the necessary systems and business tools and processes. Provides transactional services through the PeopleSoft system as colleague lifecycle events occur, i.e. new hires, transfers, terminations, retirements, leaves of absence, etc. and proactively collaborates with HR team to ensure proper processing of information. Ensures coordination with other departments regarding onboarding of new hires. Supports administration of company sponsored programs and activities such as Fitness and Tuition Reimbursement, Reward & Recognition programs and company-wide events. Schedules and coordinates onboarding activities and "Day 1" onboarding of new hires. Prepares employment and benefit new hire packets; includes maintaining appropriate stock of required documents for packets. Acts as liaison to colleagues regarding relevant HR and personnel-related information, including answering questions, and supplying information as necessary and maintaining the HR components of My Medtronic (intranet). Maintains all filing and organizational charts for Human Resources department (personnel files, training files, job files, applicant files, etc.) and oversees department office supplies and replenishes as necessary. Other related duties as necessary.
Basic Qualifications
3-5 years of prior experience supporting a Human Resources function, including administrative support and coordination of human resource processes. A Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Powerpoint, Excel (Ability to create charts required), and MS Word. Prior experience with an HRIS system, preferably Peoplesoft required. Prior experience with an applicant tracking system required. Peopleclick or E-recruit helpful. Prior experience with training management tool and payroll system required. (Kronos preferred) Must be customer service oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and efficiently Responsive, action-oriented and innovative problem solver Must be able to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate the highest degree of ethics Detail and quality orientation a must. Must be team player Bachelors or equivalent experience
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
PHR desirable. Prior experience in fast-paced office with multiple priorities will help this person be successful. Prior experience developing solutions to complex problems and referring to policies and practices for guidance.
