Human Resources Assistant
Supports the Human Resources department as needed by ordering supplies, maintaining personnel files, interviewing applicants, performing background checks, gathering employment documents and assisting with new employee orientation
Represents the HR department in a courteous and professional manner
Assists with new-hire orientation (field staff) as needed
Assists with gathering, copying and distributing all required new hire paperwork
Performs background checks in accordance with Company policy both accurately and in a timely manner as assigned
Enters new hire information accurately and in a timely manner
Maintains personnel files in accordance with DOL and DHSS record keeping standards
Assists with the maintenance of applicant files as needed
Orders and maintains inventory of staff uniforms and training
Supplies as assigned
Performs training activity reports as requested by management.
Performs applicant interviews and reference checking.
Assists with personnel file assembly as needed
Places orders to appropriate vendor for uniforms, badges, business cards, and name plates as assigned.
Provides support to the HR department as directed by HR Manager.
Performs other related duties as directed by Manager.
Requirements:
Human Resources Assistant
Require previous office experience
Prefer HR related experience with interviewing experience
Require experience with e-mail, internet applications and MS office
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
Ability to follow the appropriate safety precautions.
Comfortable with communicating with all levels of management and employees.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred.
Education:
High School diploma or prefer degree in related field and/or applicable experience
