The current job opening in Columbia, MD provides HR generalist support to the Mid-Atlantic field sales business unit of Frito-Lay. Primary responsibilities include staffing, employee relations, organizational development and performance management for a geographically-dispersed sales force.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and guide Sales Leadership Team and Sales Managers and employees regarding Company policies, HR programs (benefits, pay and salary) administration and interpretation to ensure policies and procedures are handled consistently and in a timely manner
- Must accurately diagnose organization issues, develop solutions and implement action plans
- Must ensure activities are in compliance with all state and federal employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO and FLSA)
- Assists leadership in managing performance and developing succession plans
- Ability to understand the business operations from both a strategic and tactical perspective
- Must be a confident communicator, (including both written and verbal) and the ability to effectively present to all levels of the organization, including the senior leadership team
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to one direct report
Requirements: B.S. Degree required. M.S. Degree in Labor Relations or Human Resources preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience, preferably in a large sales organization
- Demonstrated track record in leading successful business change initiatives in a complex organization
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and a high level of executive maturity
- Must have experience supporting a front line organization
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence the decision making process
- Experience designing and executing well thought out staffing plans, including sourcing, interviewing and on boarding
- Labor Relations experience is required, including managing the grievance and arbitration process. Collective bargaining experience is a plus
