Position Focus and Scope
To support the HR department objectives and targets with generalist responsibilities.

General Job Description
Provides support in functional areas of Human Resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, training, AAP/EEO, and special projects. Assists in the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee booklets, communications, and/or meetings. Prepares reports in conformance with legislated requirements or organization needs.

Guidance
  • Operates under limited supervision; work is reviewed for quality and compliance with standards.
Impact
  • Impact is moderate; may impact productivity and customer service within work group.
Knowledge
  • Fully competent professional; typically has relevant professional experience in addition to formal training.
  • Applies broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of a field.
  • Frequently updates knowledge to maintain high level of expertise.
Nature of Work
  • Assignments are moderately complex, requiring originality and ingenuity.
  • Decision making involves gathering, organizing and analyzing information and determining approach from a range of alternatives.
Team Role
  • May provide guidance and work direction to specialist/technical associates.
Minimum Education and Experience Required
BS/BA or equivalent (8 years of experience) with 1 year specific experience

Preferred Type of Education and Experience
BS-BA in related field and HR certification preferred.

Skills Needed
Problem solving, conflict resolution, training needs analysis, new hire on boarding and employee relations.
