· The HR Manager will split his/her time evenly between generalist responsibilities, working closely with the HRRMs supporting Investment
Research, Global Equity Portfolio Management, Fixed Income, and
Investment Services Groups, and on “corporate” HR initiatives that will have broad use and application that can be leveraged across the firm.
· He/she will act as acoach to managers for employee relations issues, compensation issues (during mid and year-end cycle), and staffing decisions, as needed. This includes working with managers to identify issues before they become problems, and to develop necessary interventions/programs to aid management in finding the best possible solutions. The focus population
for this role will primarily be the junior investors within the investment departments.
* Act as a resource to employees for questions and concerns. Assist employees with career development and career progression issues as well as problem resolution. He/she will also be working with employees and managers on global mobility and immigration issues.
* Responsibility for a segment of our campus recruiting program. Work closely with line managers to identify summer intern and full time needs; coordinate recruitment process with targeted campus contacts, both internal and external, facilitate post-campus relationships and communications with candidates, ensure consistent and effective orientation and assimilation of interns and new hires.
* Recruit and interview, as needed, for key positions within the Equity, Fixed Income and Investment Services areas, and, if volumes are high, pick up other recruitment as needed.
* Take ownership for managing employee headcount and data for Equity, Fixed Income and Investment Services areas.
* He/she will assist with training and development initiatives for managers and employees. This will include creating content, coordination of existing training programs, logistics of running a program and delivery of various programs.
· He/she will work on various other HR projects which will be defined by the needs of the organization in a particular year. Requirements: Candidates should have a minimum of 5-7 years of HR experience. They must also have the following qualifications:
· Strong relationship management skills
· Some knowledge of employment and labor law to effectively manage employee relations issues.
· Excellent verbal and written communications including presentation and facilitations skills
· Experience with interviewing and recruiting.
· Solid project management skills –develop project plans, scope and ensure execution and delivery.
· Ability to be flexible, self directed, and think creatively.
