This position supports the Direct Sales division at the Pine Brook, NJ National Sales Center.  The primary responsibilities are to support DISH Network business partners with their HR needs while adding value through broad spectrum HR knowledge and high level expertise in a variety of areas including: employee relations, compliance, training, and general compensation and benefits issues.


  • Consults with department managers to determine appropriate HR priorities.
  • Participates in the review of operational business strategy and objectives to determine the implication on human resources objectives.
  • Envision and execute creative ideas to drive qualified applicant flow.
  • Source candidates to ensure a consistent, qualified applicant pool for salaried exempt and salaried non-exempt positions.
  • Contribute ideas and implement process improvements related to talent management.
  • Post and maintain position announcements to job boards, local colleges, workforce centers, etc.
  • Administer job appropriate assessments to qualified talent, including analyzing and tracking results.
  • Prescreen resumes and coordinate in-house interviews with hiring managers.
  • Ensure new hire orientation goals for Inside Sales Associates are met.
  • Advises management of risks associated with current business practices and recommends improvements by providing expertise to management in local, state, and federal employment laws.
  • Promptly reports any compliance related concerns to Senior HR Management team and works through appropriate resolution.
  • Conducts training of human resources objectives to management.
  • Maintains communication with departments on all human resources related issues.
  • Reports recommendations and alternatives to human resources strategy to higher level managers.
  • Works independently on objectives while receiving minimal supervision.
  • Prepares and maintains human resources related reports and distributes as appropriate.
  • Schedules and modifies priorities independently according to business needs.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of DISH Network HR policies and procedures to be able to communicate with departments on HR and Company initiatives.
  • Ensures that human resources needs are met in a timely manner, while providing the highest level of customer service and accessibility to the managers and employees of DISH Network.
  • Maintains excellent relationships with both direct business partners and peripheral departments that interact with direct support groups (i.e. closely related departments, payroll, etc.).
  • Understands and can articulate department and DISH Network corporate business goals, including financial impacts of HR actions.
  • Successfully manages unemployment claim administration to minimize the Company’s experience rating.
  • Acts as a mentor to lower level HR staff to develop all aspects of HR and interpersonal expertise.
  • Other special projects as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree with at least give years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s Degree with at least seven years of relevant experience.
