Description: Are you ready to join a top-notch Human Resources organization? TASC is now seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to work in Lorton, VA in support of our Enterprise Systems Business Unit (ESBU).
Reporting to the Human Resources Director for the ESBU, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) will support a geographically diverse organization of approximately 350 people. The majority of employees are located on a customer site in Lorton, VA, with additional employees scattered around the US and overseas.
This individual will provide consultation, coaching, interpretation, and recommendations to all levels of management and employees on a variety of business issues and Human Resources functions, programs and activities to include: employee relations, organizational development, redeployment of staff, communications, policies and procedures, compensation, benefits, HR metrics and analytics, staffing, and redeployment. The HRBP will interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations and will develop solutions to a variety of complex problems. The HRBP will act as a liaison between specialists, employees, and managers and will be responsible for influencing change and adding value as a business partner to the client groups. The HRBP will implement the human capital strategies for the operating unit, and will help to support business growth by participating in proposals and other related activities. Additional responsibilities include reporting, HR trending and analysis, developing and delivering presentations, completion of special projects, and other HR duties as needed. The HRBP will ensure compliance with EEO, IRCA, FLSA, FMLA, USERRA, and all other legal and regulatory requirements.
Job Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be an action-oriented team player, who has a consultative mindset and possesses competencies in human resources and business processes. Solid knowledge of HR related laws and regulations required. Candidate must have a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive, effective relationships with senior-level executives, managers, and employees at all levels in addition to HR and other functional teammates. Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and under various situations. This individual will handle sensitive and confidential data on a daily basis, and must demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to protect such information. The candidate must be professional and proactive and have the ability to influence and implement HR initiatives, streamline/enhance processes, reduce administrative burden on managers, and drive projects to completion. Solid experience in investigating and effectively resolving employee relations issues is required. Prior experience with implementing change management strategies throughout the organization and dealing effectively with ambiguity is a must. Personal qualities of integrity, confidence, sound judgment, and a commitment to personal development are essential.
The successful candidate must be detail oriented and have proven organizational, research, and problem solving skills as well as a demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining timeliness and accuracy. Candidate must demonstrate the skill and ability to independently perform fairly complex professional tasks, and must be able to meet goals while working under general supervision. Candidate must have good presentations skills, internet research skills and intermediate working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional Human Resources Generalist experience required; 4 years with Master's.
PHR certification is highly desired.
Experience with proposals and the pursuit of new business preferred.
Prior experience in a government contracting environment is desired.
International HR experience is preferred but not required.
Some travel will be required to Rosslyn, VA, Chantilly, VA, and other office locations on an as needed basis.
Applicant selected must have the ability to obtain a security clearance. U.S. citizenship required.
