HR Business Consultant
Excellent opportunity for an HR professional with generalist experience to join Southern Nuclear Company at Vogtle 1&2, Waynesboro, GA (near Augusta).
The Human Resources Business Consultant is responsible for providing HR consulting, coaching, and management solutions at one of the Nuclear Plant Sites. This position partners with and provides support to either: the Site Vice President, the Site Support function and the Site Engineering function; or to the Plant Manager and all related Operations functions. This position reports to the HR Team Leader.
The successful candidate will not only have a background as HR generalist, but will have the ability to consult with managers, facilitate high-level discussions, and influence others through trust and relationship-building. Experience with an organization that has been through change and the ability to positively influence change are pluses.

Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
Experience consulting with functional customers on HR initiatives and issues is highly desired.
Experience in a manufacturing, plant or utility environment is preferred.
Experience with leadership coaching is a plus.
HR Experience with union and non-union employees is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Working knowledge and experience with major HR disciplines such as compensation and benefits, employment law, performance management, affirmative action, change management, workforce planning, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness.
Ability to integrate HR strategic initiatives with business plans.
Consulting, critical thinking, presentation, facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills are desired.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and ability to manage multiple tasks required.
Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships required.
Ability to influence and move initiatives forward.
Ability to consult with both high level management members and individual contributors.
Strong results orientation.
Strong leadership skills: advising on developing and coaching employees.
Ability to consult and provide management coaching on leadership effectiveness/development, workforce planning, diversity, EEO, AA, performance management, and succession planning.
Ability to act as a change agent providing support and mechanics to business unit management in their efforts to implement changes to the operations of the business.
Ability to facilitate business and workforce planning sessions: provide consulting on process improvement initiatives, organizational diagnostics/analysis, change management and team effectiveness.
