Help Desk Technician/Support Specialist Come discover the special place 'on the hill' for your next job opportunity. Mount Mercy is a Catholic, coeducational college founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1928. The College offers a variety of liberal arts, professional, accelerated and graduate degree programs enrolling approximately 1600 students. This position will provide technical support to faculty, staff and students via completion of Help Desk tickets and calls regarding hardware, software, virus removal, training, assistance to users and trouble shooting with campus technology. The position will also provide support to Advance and MBA programs as well as the Computer Science lab. Work Schedule, Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 mary responsibilities: Respond to technical issues and needs of Mount Mercy faculty, staff and students in a timely and professional port the Computer Science (Linux) ist/back-up the Hardware Technician, Systems Control Specialist and Systems Administrator as ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in an IT-related field with 3-5 years experience. Knowledge of PHP, LDAP and MYSQL is a must. Experience with CentOS is a plus. Candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels are required. The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, is successful candidate must also demonstrate a willingness to support Mount Mercy's mission, which is a Catholic college providing student-focused baccalaureate and graduate education in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy.
