Express Employment Professionals of Roseville is seeking a highly motivated individual interested in attaining a position with long-term growth opportunities in an established bank located in Warren, Michigan. Purpose: The most essential function of this position is to provide superior service to the bank's clients. This is accomplished by gathering and analyzing members financial information for the purpose of determining qualifying status for mortgage loans. Interview and answer any questions concerning loans and rates. Collate, review and verify loan documents necessary to the transaction. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Interview and pre-qualify members for purchase/refinance mortgages and obtain all required documentation. Input all mortgages and maintain tracking/conversation logs. Gather needed information to process the mortgage applications and submit to underwriting. Obtain all necessary verifications, order credit reports, arrange for appraisals, order title, order survey if applicable, and all other necessary items for the transaction. Experience in Conventional, FHA, MSHDA and VA necessary. Review title commitments for outstanding liens or other possible issues. Schedule closings and inform members of any additional documentation needed for approval and/or closing. Prepare closing documents and conduct mortgage closings. Disburse mortgages and forward to servicer. Assist in mortgage servicing area as requested. Assist with balancing payable general ledger accounts each month. Become cross-trained in all daily departmental duties. Meet member needs by cross-selling all products and services offered by the credit union. Must achieve the minimum cross-selling goals as established by management. Cross sell lending protection solutions with the required penetration of all eligible loans. Provide appropriate reporting of total protected loans each month. Utilize TIPS training tools to assist members in decision making process of credit insurance products. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties satisfactorily or above.
